Built as tall as the city allows, 500 feet from grade, One America Plaza is the tallest building in San Diego, California and a prominent fixture in the city's skyline. The 34-story, obelisk-shaped tower is located in the waterfront district of Downtown San Diego, and is known locally as the "Philips Screwdriver Building" for the unique shape of its roof. One America Plaza was designed by Jahn Architects and Krommenhoek/McKeown & Associates. The America Plaza trolley transfer station is located on the ground floor of the building between the main building and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.

From San Diego International Airport
Head west on Airport Terminal Road. Slight left to stay on Airport Terminal Road. Keep right at the fork. Turn left onto North Harbor Drive. Turn left onto West Broadway and go two blocks to Kettner Boulevard. Turn left onto Kettner Boulevard and One American Plaza will be on the Northeast Corner of the block. For parking, continue east on West Broadway and turn left onto India Street. Parking for One American Plaza will be on your left.
From Long Beach Municipal Airport Head west on East Wardlow Road toward Airflite Way. Take the second left onto Cherry Avenue. Slight right onto the I-405 ramp. Keep left at the fork, follow the signs for the freeway and merge onto I-405 South. Slight left to stay on I-405 South. Merge onto I-5 South. Slight right to stay on I-5 South. Take Exit 17 to merge onto Front Street toward Civic Center. Turn right onto West Broadway. One American Plaza will be on the right.
From Los Angeles Take the San Diego Coast Express Rail (the "COASTER") south to the Santa Fe station, located across the street from One America Plaza.
