Hahn Loeser’s Cleveland office is located in one of the most recognizable buildings in downtown Cleveland. At the time of its construction, our building was the second tallest in Cleveland, only six stories shorter than the Terminal Tower. Designed in the early 1980s by Gyo Obata, of the St. Louis architectural firm of Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum, Inc., the building cost $200 million and featured more than 1.5 million gross square feet. Originally designed as the "Sohio Tower and Atrium," the building was intended as a symbol of leadership for The Standard Oil Company which was founded in Cleveland in 1866 by John D. Rockefeller, the first self-made millionaire in history.
