Hahn Loeser’s Pro Bono Program is an
important tool that enhances the quality
of life within the communities we serve.
We believe it is the Firm’s professional
responsibility to motivate our attorneys
to serve individuals and organizations
that are not in the position to obtain
legal assistance on their own. Hahn
Loeser is dedicated to instilling and
maintaining a sense of public interest
in our attorneys; it has always been
part of the Firm’s corporate culture.
Hahn Loeser’s Program directs attorneys
to contribute no less than 50 hours of
Pro Bono work each year, and we not only
reach this requirement, but make it a
goal to surpass it. The Pro Bono Program
is especially beneficial to first- and
second-year associates who gain
necessary work experience in situations
that they would not normally have the
opportunity to perform in at the
beginning of their careers.
In each of the communities that we live
and work, we also serve. Listed are
recent examples of Hahn Loeser’s Pro
Bono Activities:
Cleveland
CLEVELAND MUSEUM OF ART -

the Cleveland Museum of Art on

LEGAL AID SOCIETY -
A group of Hahn Loeser attorneys
participated in the Evening Law
Clinic at the Legal Aid Society of
Cleveland. The clinic allows
attorneys to assist the Legal Aid
Society by taking cases from clients
that Legal Aid would otherwise have
to turn away. Attorneys are
responsible for handling the cases
they take on from the initial client
interview to the resolution. The
Hahn Loeser attorneys involved in
this clinic were able to get an
automobile accident suit dismissed,
and are still actively advocating on
behalf of the additional clients.
REPRESENTATION OF RWANDAN
IMMIGRANT - Successfully
represented a Rwandan immigrant of
mixed Hutu-Tutsi ethnicity, who was
imprisoned and tortured because of
purported affiliation with an
opposition political party, in an
affirmative asylum petition in
Federal Immigration Court. The
individual was granted asylum,
allowing for permanent residence in
the U.S.

Ph.D. in a lawsuit filed against
Lakeland Community College. The
former Philosophy professor at

U.S. District Court against the
school, Dean and President for
allegedly reducing his teaching
"duties" as punishment for
disclosing his religion to his
students during a philosophy class.
The case ended in mediation with a
favorable resolution for Dr. Tuttle.
